Card of the Day: Ace of Pentacles
I just finished listening to Kim Krans’s Archetype reading on @ramainstitute IG Live. It was pretty incredible, and the upshot I’m sitting with right now is: the veil between the worlds is thin right now. More so than usual. The pressures that have built up over the last five-plus centuries due to capitalism, white supremacy and patriarchy are finally cracking the structures. And those cracks bring the other, Unseen world closer. Our job is to listen.
Given all of that, and the onset of Spring, it’s a good time to plant seeds. Of all kinds. Including seeds of intention. What do I want to grow? What do I want to feed and nurture with my life energy so that it can bear fruit in the world and contribute to my healing and liberation and the healing and liberation of the world? This Ace—this gift—shows the glowing heartwood, the life essence, the potential. What we plant will grow with our nurturing. So the question becomes: WHAT DO I WANT TO GROW? Or perhaps, more directly: WHAT DO I WANT?
I’ve been sitting all week gestating intentions for this New Moon in Aries. It was a process. It took awhile. It took not effort-ing so much, trusting more, listening. More trusting. Our intentions are so incredibly powerful. When we don’t know what we want, we are susceptible to the stories and expectations of people who make a lot of money to tell us stories and sell us things. To get in touch with what we truly desire, we have to know something about ourselves. And also: we have to not-know something about ourselves. We have to go inward, and use all of our faculties—thought, discernment, intuition, inspiration, wisdom, curiosity, creativity, connection and relationship—to pull out the heart of the matter. Then we can plant it and tend to it and protect it so that it can grow. It might grow into what we expect, but more likely it will grow into what we need to love ourselves and the world more deeply, and to find the gifts that we have to uniquely offer.
Feeling full of tenderness and love for you all this morning. I’d love to hear what you are planting this Spring.
