Online Tarot Circle

Tarot is a system of 78 arcana—or secrets, mysteries + hidden things—divided into the Major Arcana, or big secrets, + the Minor Arcana, or little secrets. The Minors themselves are divided into four elemental suits—Fire/Wands, Cups/Water, Swords/Air + Pentacles/Earth—Ace through 10, plus four Court cards.

Within this simple structure, artists have interpreted the arcana through images that can speak to us about Life—from the earth-shattering + existential to the kitchen-sink quotidian.

Tarot is a resonator. You can bring whatever you are already into + interested in to the tarot’s framework + it will meet you there, revealing new facets, speaking secrets into your heart, mind, emotions + body. Tarot, after all, is an oracle. It speaks.

Whoever or whatever you believe speaks through the tarot, when we gather together as a group to do this kind of imaginative + intuitive play, possibilities emerge, mysteries make themselves visible + we find inspiration, connection + nourishment for the journey.

Join me + a group of other seasoned practitioners in the zoom room to play + explore with tarot. Bring a tarot deck if you have one + a journal/notebook + something to write with.

These gatherings are not instructional AND: all levels of tarot experience are welcome.

The Symbolic Lab

Join Elena Solano + shea in the catskills for this collaborative, online, arts-based research project meeting on the 2nd Friday of each month at 5pm et/2pm pt (time zone converter) beginning March 13, 2026.

Each 90-minute online gathering begins with calling in the dead + a group check-in. Then we ground together in the practice of self-responsiveness + invoke the expansiveness of what research can be + include. Taking up a line from Nemik’s Manifesto, we’ll use the tarot’s images to connect with our own experience of the themes + questions we encounter. We’ll invoke the emergent intelligence of the group to deepen our research + practice together.

In last year’s Symbolic Lab, Elena + shea brought the following aspirations + intentions to each session:

  • for there to be coherence between the content + form our sessions
  • to invite each participant to be a disobedient, restful human body with its own intelligence, autonomy + sense of connectedness
  • aiming not to arrive at conclusions, but rather to generate abundant meaning + nourishing spells

Everyone is welcome, regardless of your experience with tarot or familiarity with Nemik’s Manifesto + Andor! Bring your curiosity, a journal, something to write with + a tarot deck if you have one.

suggested donation: $29 per session

Online Classes

Using Tarot to Work with the Dead
February 7, 2026 at noon est (time zone converter)

The dead are real, + they long to collaborate with us on what disturbs our mind + troubles our heart—from the quotidian to the intractably perplexing. In this workshop, we’ll use the images of the tarot to get in touch with the dead who can help us hold what is hard to hold alone, and who can untie knots in ways we can’t imagine.

Rooted in Perdita Finn’s Take Back the Magic work with the dead + my deep tarot study, you will learn a simple tarot ritual that helps you turn over what’s troubling you—as well as the things you most deeply long for but can’t imagine happening—to those human + non-human dead who delight in collaborating with our heart’s desires.

No tarot experience necessary. Bring something that’s troubling you or a deep longing, a tarot deck if you have one, and a journal. Sessions will be recorded for those who can’t attend live.
